1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and weresume.cloud ("WeResume", "we", "our", or "us"), governing your access to and use of the website at https://weresume.cloud, the web application at https://app.weresume.cloud, and associated software, APIs, and document generation tools (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using any part of the Service, creating an account, or purchasing a subscription pass, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use or access the Service.

2. Description of the Service

WeResume provides digital software-as-a-service (SaaS) productivity tools for drafting, editing, styling, and exporting applicant tracking system (ATS) compliant professional resumes and cover letters.

To access cloud storage or Pro AI features, you may register an account with a valid email address and password. You are solely responsible for:

4. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership

4.1 Your Content

You retain full, exclusive ownership of all text, work history, educational records, contact information, photos, and materials that you input, upload, or generate via the Service ("User Content"). WeResume claims zero ownership rights over your resume content.

4.2 License to WeResume

You grant WeResume a strictly limited, non-exclusive license to host, parse, and transmit your User Content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service to you (e.g., rendering your resume, generating PDF files, or processing AI enhancement requests). We do not use your User Content to train public AI models.

4.3 WeResume Intellectual Property

The software platform, web designs, CSS styles, typography hierarchy, template code, algorithms, and logos are the proprietary property of WeResume and its licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the templates for the purpose of creating your personal job application documents.

5. Pro Subscriptions, Fees & Merchant of Record

5.1 Billing & Pricing

Access to our Pro features is provided under an annual pass priced at $2.99 USD per year (or local equivalent). Prices are clearly displayed before purchase and do not contain hidden fees or surprise trial rollovers.

5.2 Merchant of Record (Polar.sh)

Our order process and payment transactions are conducted by our online Merchant of Record, Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), or authorized payment gateway partners. Polar acts as the merchant of record for card transactions and handles tax compliance, invoicing, and PCI-DSS certified payment processing.

5.3 Renewal & Cancellation

You may cancel your annual subscription renewal at any time via your user Billing settings or the Polar customer portal. Upon cancellation, your Pro benefits remain active until the conclusion of your paid 1-year billing cycle.

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While our templates are designed according to ATS industry standards, WeResume does not guarantee interviews, employment offers, or specific hiring outcomes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall WeResume, its directors, employees, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. In all cases, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to WeResume in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50 USD.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When changes occur, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service following notice of such changes constitutes your acceptance.
