Cloud engineer with 5 years of experience automating AWS infrastructure in Python. Built deployment and scaling tooling used by 6 product teams, and preparing for a master’s degree in artificial intelligence.

The infrastructure I maintain at Brightline Analytics already makes small decisions on its own: it scales services, retries failed jobs and flags unusual load. Making those decisions learnable rather than hand-written is the problem that brings me to apply for the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at Northbridge Technical University.

I graduated from Lakeview State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (GPA 3.62/4.0). Algorithms, Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning gave me the formal grounding, and my final-year project, a set of predictive models for server load, showed me how much careful evaluation matters once a model leaves the notebook.

As a Cloud Engineer, I design and maintain automated infrastructure on AWS and Linux, written mostly in Python. That work has trained me to measure before changing anything, to treat failures as data, and to build systems other people can rely on. It has also shown me the limits of rule-based automation, which is where my academic interest begins.

Northbridge’s combination of symbolic and subsymbolic AI with applied systems work is what draws me to the program. I am particularly interested in reinforcement learning and probabilistic reasoning, and in the project modules that let students apply them to real infrastructure problems alongside the research groups.

After the master’s degree, I intend to pursue a PhD in learning-based control for distributed systems. I would bring to the cohort practical experience of running production systems and a clear set of questions I want to answer. Thank you for considering my application.
